Nigeria to start exporting cars soon – Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday said that with the new National Automotive Industry Policy approved by the administration, the country would soon start exportation of cars.
Jonathan spoke at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where he granted audience to a delegation of business community from Anambra led by Gov. Peter Obi.
He said the new policy would aid industrialisation of the automotive sector, and assured that the administration would continue to encourage industrialists to grow.
“In the next few years, Nigeria will begin to export cars to other countries. If Nigeria must become great as expected by all, the Federal Government must encourage the industry to grow.
“To this end, we will continue to encourage industrialists in Anambra.’’
The president promised that industrialists’ basic needs such as road, power and port would be addressed appropriately.
