Despite PDP’s step-by-step losing of its the majority status at the House of Representatives and plans to effect a change in its leadership, the Speaker, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, confirmed he had no plans to abandon the ruling party just because it was in crisis. Rather than abandon the party midstream, he preferred to remain in the PDP to help fix its problems as that was the hallmark of a politician with principles. Hon. Tambuwal declared this while speaking with the journalists at Akamkpa, Cross River State, on January 28, 2014, Tuesday.
During
the interview he categorically stated that he remains a staunch PDP
member, has no plans to defect from, not now, not in the near future.
