According to her, Toba was legally living in Dubai as a student in one of the prestigious universities.
Falode said that the information given by the Dubai authorities was faulty as it was at variance with eyewitnesses’ accounts.
“I would, therefore, like to petition the Federal Government of Nigeria to support me in finding out the real truth of what occurred that fateful night my son died.
“I would also like the House of Representatives to request that every support and assistance is provided by the Government of the UAE.
“The assistance is for a re-investigation and further enquiry into the death of my son.
“Only the full weight of the Nigerian Authorities will ensure that the truth is uncovered and my son gets justice,” she said.
Falode said that the Nigerian Embassy in Dubai assisted her by providing a translator that helped secure the documents required to help her repatriate Toba’s remains to Nigeria.
She said that before the family left Dubai, they formally submitted a request through the embassy to the Dubai Foreign Ministry, to access the case file into Toba’s death.
She said that the family had not heard anything yet from the ministry.
